Communications and Member Services Manager

GreenBlue's largest project is the Sustainable Packaging Coalition (SPC), an industry working group of nearly 200 companies from across the packaging supply chain. The SPC works to develop educational resources and tools to enhance the global sustainability of packaging. The SPC Communications and Member Services Manager will be responsible for coordinating membership activities, overseeing member relations, and managing communications for the Coalition.

Duties

  • Maintain Coalition website, including developing and editing web content through online content management system; updating and maintaining online member database; and providing customer support for website financial transactions.
  • Develop content, edit, and send out monthly email newsletter as well as other membership notices.
  • Provide member support, including receive and respond to membership inquiries; field new membership inquiries and process membership applications; and update member contact information.
  • Process membership applications.
  • Provide event management for the SPC's two meetings a year, including plan logistics for meetings; coordinate and manage speaker logistics; act as liaison for speakers; develop content for meeting materials; receive and manage meeting registrations; coordinate staff roles.
  • Other communications and administrative duties.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience using databases.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with web-based communication tools and resources.
  • Strong verbal and written communications.
  • Experience and skill in customer relations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and skilled in diplomacy.
  • Ambitious approach to position and take charge attitude.
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking.
  • Bachelor's degree required, with at least 3 years-related experience.
  • Experience working with associations, membership groups or similar organizations.
