Labeling for Package Recovery
Labeling for Packaging Recovery takes a closer look at existing packaging recovery labeling schemes to assist in making the connection between package design and recovery. The 25-page report evaluates two existing packaging recovery labeling systems and discusses the major shortcomings of the US recycling and recovery system that may be ameliorated by an effective labeling scheme.
Also presented are requirements an effective labeling scheme must include, along with a proposal for a new packaging recovery labeling system for the United States. An effective labeling scheme may prompt consumers nationwide to take the correct action and significantly increase collection and recovery of packaging materials.
