Erin Malec

Erin joined GreenBlue in June 2007 as the organization’s Director of External Relations. In this role, she oversees the organization’s communications, development activities, and stakeholder relations. Erin has over 12 years of professional experience in public interest communications and policy, and she has spent her entire career working with nonprofit organizations on a variety of social and environmental issues. Before joining GreenBlue, Erin was a Strategist with the Breakthrough Institute, a think-tank focused on global energy and climate change challenges; Communications Manager at the Breast Cancer Fund, a nonprofit focused on preventing the environmental causes of the disease; and Senior Account Executive with Fenton Communications, which is the largest public interest communications firm in the United States. Erin holds a BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania, and she describes herself as equally passionate about Chicago Bears football as she is about sustainability.
